Jenny Green with “Tribbles”

This is another tale about my pal, Jenny Green & her partner, “Jack” King of The Rain Forest…

When Jenny came over the other day for a visit she brought her new friend “Tribbles” with her. “I wonder what Tribbles would be doing here in Depoe Bay?, I asked…

“Jack, came to me with Tribbles while we were walking in the rain forest near town,” she said, while looking at me with that grin like she always does when there is a secret to be revealed…

I was thinking too about when Star Trek’s Captain Kirk came back from outer space long ago after a far off voyage on the USS Enterprise long ago. Remember the millions of Tribbles they brought back from a distant Back Hole?

I remember that. But, Jenny was too young to know about that when it happened…

I asked her again, “where did Jack find Tribbles? Then she told me with a happy grin..

It seems Jack was way back near some big firs on that snowy night when Tribbles was found. Think Tribbles was cast away here on the coast by her family who didn’t want to care for her anymore…

Sounded like her family knew Jack was there there to rescue Tribbles when he discovered her very cold & lonely hiding in a hollowed out old trunk, next to his favorite tall old Spruce…

Jack was afraid Jenny would say no about taking Tribbles home with them. Jack has always wanted a sister,” she said gleefully while Jack stood by her side…

So, now, Jack has a sister! And, Jenny can’t stop talking Tribbles. Jack ‘n Jenny seem to be very happy about having Tribbles in their lives. I’m happy for them too..

I”ve always wondered where all the Tribbles disappeared to way back when. Now, I know they landed a top Mary’s Peak and have lived here all along. Then, Jack, found a new sister, and now we know the rest of the story…
