My pal “Old George” is perched on the same exact spot. He sits on a high basalt rock that was made eons ago…

The cliffs at Little Whale Cove is where Old George and his brothers and sisters hang with me. I see them in the Cove each day, swimming and bathing like a heavenly spa to be sure…

I see him fly in when he turns the corner past the Cove. He sees me and stops for a chat like we always do, Old George and me…

“Where’s Rumi?” I asked my pal, Old George right away. Rumi used to perch on the Madison’s porch until they left for another dream to share…

“Rumi, found a new home down a tad on the coast trail!” George snapped back at me as if I should know…

We miss our neighbors, Don and Kate Madison. They moved to the land of “10,000 Lakes” to love and dream even more.. We miss them so…

Suddenly, from Nye Beach, “Cousin Sassie” flys in like the bandit she is, and sits next to Old George and me. “Wow!” I shouted with joy, startling Old George and Sassie as they looked at me with those big dark eyes, so beautiful to see…

I was overjoyed to have two pals for chats by the Cove. I miss coffee chats with my human friends who love me too…

I stand and chat with Old George and Cousin Sassie for awhile longer. I so appreciate and love my seabird friends and human friends too… But, now, I have even more friends to love, and who will love me back too…

Old George gets a phone call from Granny to get his butt home now! Cousin Sassie wants to head up the coast to visit with Rumi.

It’s time for me to head south to the Cove for a visit with “Matt n Mattie.” They will be forging, playing and loving each other as they always do.

Now we wait with anticipation. The little goslings will join us in giving new life to the Cove by the sea…

That’s why we are here. We are all here with Matt n Mattie and our wildlife friends who make their home at the Cove by the sea…

So, I say to myself and to all my wildlife friends at the Cove. “See you tomorrow and everyday to chat and love each other once again…”
