Red Rock Canyon Blue Diamond Dreams…
I imagined how it might look landing on the landscape of Mars the very first time. It felt like a very long journey to arrive at this place of magic and wonder…
As I stood on the ground for the very first time, I imagined what this spot on Mars may have looked like a very long time ago when life was thriving.
Was there life here? Were there living beings, maybe ‘hunters and gatherers’ just like on earth so long ago? I then looked back at Earth, and imagined again…

Paleo-Indians hunting a glyptodont
Heinrich Harder (1858–1935), c.1920.
“The Lithic peoples or Paleo-Indians are the earliest-known settlers of the Americas. The period’s name derives from the appearance of “lithic flaked” stone tools.”
Then, I remembered my first visit to Red Rock Canyon awhile back. It was here that I first dreamed and imagined landing on Mars. I looked at the red rocks and high mountains reaching to the sky…
I thought about Mars again, then. I imagined, again, and believed too, that Earth might be like Mars in the far off future.
I wondered, too, if there was anything us humans could do about stopping the University from doing it’s God given duty…
My soul told me without a doubt, then. The answer is a resounding No! Life is determined by the cosmos, I believe. Living things, if existed on Mars, lived there for an instance in time, then moved on with the Stars, and Black Holes, I imagined again…
Life goes on. We live this life in this instance. We live this life to make a difference for others. When we do this, I believe the Universe will take us to new dreams and discoveries we can only imagine with love and kindness in our hearts and souls…
“Dream,” I say. “Imagine,” I say. “Live your life to the fullest today,” I say too…
