When Eagle Claw looked up and saw Gritz flying high above, he knew there was trouble coming home to his Cove. Gritz never shows up here unless he’s on the run from Little Whale Cove…

Sea Rider just heard about Gritz killing Mattie and the little goslings in Little Whale Cove. Eagle Claw knew Gritz broke a sacred convenant of the Cove Eagle Clan. “Thou shall not harm goslings and their moms, not ever!”

Gritz knew he was deep in nest poo poo. He wanted permission to come into Pirates Cove to chat with Eagle Claw…

Sea Rider thought Gritz was a ‘true grit’ sort of dude, not a bully from the Cove Clan in the south. “The Cove Clan eagles are always on the alert, always aware of their surroundings, but not stealthy attackers of baby goslings,” he said to Eagle Claw with an angry look in his eyes…

With a green light from Eagle Claw, Gritz, cruised in to land right next to Sea Rider on the tree below. He would protect Eagle Claw chatting with Gritz, who displayed an attitude on the get go…

After some pleading, screaming, and whining, Eagle Claw stopped him cold. He told Gritz, in the strongest terms, “you are here forth banned from the Cove Eagle Clan near Depoe Bay, to never return.”

With hoop and holler, while looking back angrily with a mean look, Gritz jettisoned upward around 2000ft toward the setting sun in the west. It was then Eagle Claw and Sea Rider watched as Gritz flew north to Neskowin to find a new Cove.

The moral of this story? Bullies do not get to fly around in the Coves near Depoe Bay. We allow Eagles who abide by the strict covenants of Eagle Claw’s Clan of peace and love by the Coves near Depoe Bay, and parts connected with Otter Crest to the south…

Little Whale Cove lives in peace and love once again. Matt ‘n Mattie will return next spring to a much safer Cove than before with Gritz, The Intrepid Eagle. Who will Eagle Claw assign to protect the little goslings next spring?

“Sooner than later,” Sea Rider said, with a wink and grin , as he skyrocketed up, up, to 2000′ before heading back into Pirates Cove…

Sea Rider and Eagle Claw were greeted with cheers by the mayor of Depoe Bay. It was a good day in Pirates Cove. Cheers and celebration could be heard in Little Whale Cove too…

It’s a good day in the Cove, indeed. It’s a good day again, for the Cove Clan…
