New life, dreams & possibilities await us…
As I sit here at Macy’s in Medford while Judy shops, my mind is thinking about a new life in the Sonora. At the same time, as Facebook posts pop up with Fleet of Flowers updates, I think, also, how much we’ll miss our home of 17 years in Little Whale Cove near Depoe Bay, especially on Memorial Day, except for a 2 year break during Covid.
I’ve extensively written with heart and soul over the years about all things Depoe Bay and Little Whale Cove. If you do a search on my site with “Depoe Bay,” well over 200/articles and post about all this Depoe Bay, especially furry loved ones and wildlife friends.
Many blog posts were written on Memorial Day, including Fleet of Flowers. As a US Navy veteran from a Post WWII military family, my roots are deep in service to America and to the local communities we’ve lived. Search “Memorial Day or Veterans.
You can count on us coming back next summer for a stay in cool, often sunny days with balmy breezes. Who knows, if we’re lucky, we might get to stay with a dear friend or neighbor.
My heart and soul will never leave Depoe Bay, especially Little Whale Cove. My work and art were born in Depoe Bay. My roots remain with the sand, wind and waves in Little Whale Cove, always.
