“I assumed this was a phenomenon of the 20th century and that 21st-century governments, even totalitarian ones, would constrain tyrants.
Trump and Putin have convinced me I was mistaken.
Ukrainians are reminding us that democracy survives only if people are willing to sacrifice for it.” By Robert Reich

I used to believe, or wanted to believe, Democracy was sacred. Then, I started reminding myself of WWII. My father served in the Pacific War, including Pearl Harbor.
Everything connected with freedom is earned. I believe this again with the “Hitler” like invasion of Ukraine.
It took Churchill to stand up to Hitler. Zelenskyy will do the same in the 21st Century.
Democracy wins in the end. But, we must earn it and defend it with our lives on the front lines.
I see a Congress no longer divided with a threat to Democracy standing in the way. As humans, we live in a “survival of the fittest” world. This is a breeding ground for a greater good society to swing back in time to tribal wars, once again.
When great abundance in things overcomes us with more greed, more stuff, more power, more everything, we have war. We want more. We get war.

War is how humans behave when greed wins…
The pendulum is taking a left turn back to ‘love thy brother.’ I see this now and see it for eternity. Humans eventually return to love, empathy and compassion.
Bless the warriors who bring us back to love and kindness…
