Author Event: Steve Sparks, “Reconciliation: A Son’s Story”

08/18/2012 2:00 pm

Saturday, August 18 at 2 p.m.
Steve Sparks reflects back on his father’s war time experiences as the context underlying his own family dynamics and abuse. Through the author’s research and study of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, he comes to an understanding of his father’s behavior and how this deeply impacted the family which eventually leads to healing.

Go to the book cover link above and read the favorable reviews of my book, including my wife Judy’s introduction. Without Judy’s tireless support in keeping me focused and upbeat, my story could not have been completed. Although painful in parts, the non-fiction story of my family’s 70 years struggle coping with PTSD is cathartic and provides an avenue for healing; allowing readers to discover how to live and cope with moral injury, PTSD, and domestic violence.
