American Veterans Traveling Tribute… click on this site to learn more…
“Create a forum for communities to come together to Honor, Respect and Remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for their country and to educate all to the Cost of Freedom.
AVTT and TFT have joined together to execute both missions by traveling the USA and bringing the Cost of Freedom Tribute and The Traveling Wall to as many communities as possible. Each will have the opportunity to establish a unique event centered on Patriotism and the American Spirit while being able to raise funds to support local causes.”
#####
Significant space on the American Veterans Traveling Tribute (AVTT) is dedicated to 1st Responders who lost their lives during 9/11 and to the Global War on Terror… This AVTT Wall is a place for all to remember with honor, to grieve, and to heal… America stands as one community in protecting the freedoms of all citizens at home and abroad. “The Cost of Freedom Tribute” honors all Americans who have given the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty to protect freedom and to save lives…
I am very proud and honored to have the opportunity to participate during the Celebration of Honor event not only as a US Navy veteran during the Vietnam era, but as a community service volunteer for Neighbors for Kids in Depoe Bay, Oregon. We serve the children and families in Lincoln County who protect our freedoms and keep us safe each and every day of the year… The students from our signature after-school program “Kids Zone” will be on hand to help visitors find names on the Wall. I have the honor to give a talk to military and 1st responder families on the topic of “Surviving and Thriving” in life after trauma at the Lincoln City Cultural Center on September 21st at 4pm. I will be sharing my own life experience as a post WWII military child, reading from my book, Reconciliation: A Son’s Story, and sharing selections from this blog, Families Living with PTSD…
