“Bach” Over The Rainbow Bridge… A Love Story…

Lori Hourstan…Bach’s Mom

From Lori Hourstan’s words edited by Steve Sparks

We said good-bye to Bach today. He was a great dog. We loved him so…

While we will miss him we are happy to have had him so long. He was 14 years old. Amazing for a large dog, a blessing it was…

We have been talking to Michael about it for a few weeks. Michael knows all dogs go to Heaven because the movie tells him so.

Michael starting ‘signing’ when we put down our 1st Shepherd (Annie). Just out of the blue he signs “dog” then points to the sky…

When we were getting ready to sell our house in Hood River, I didn’t think Bach would be around to make the trip with us.

But Bach he showed me again his love. He lasted another year! Love works that way, you know…

Rayna, our Shepherd, misses his pal Bach so much. She grieves and heals with us now….

Bach was a rock solid comfort to me through bad, sad and stressful times. He would lay down beside me on the bed, rest his head on my chest and look at me with those eyes. Eyes of kindness and love…

Bach loved all of us with so much kindness and empathy. Michael, Rayna and Bach are brothers and sisters forever…

Bach crossed the Rainbow Bridge yesterday. When you lose a furry loved one, they never leave your heart and soul.

We miss Bach everyday now. He was such a good dog.

Michael and Rayna, Dad, and Mom still walk with Bach through the rain forest and down to the sea. I see him and feel him now, and everyday just like before…

Dad discovered it was much easier to rake the fur off than brush Bach. He loved Dad’s caring and loving ways…

Bach will always be at my side just like before. He lays down beside me on the bed, rests his head on my chest, and looks at me with those eyes. The eyes of kindness and love…

Lori Hourstan, Bach’s Mom forever ❤ and Dad, Michael and Rayna forever too…
