I DID NOT KNOW LOVE UNTIL YOU SHOWED ME HOW
Happy Birthday, Judy, my dearest and forever love!
Happy 70th year to the girl with “eyes that stopped 10,000 soldiers!”
The girl with the smile that won my heart.
That first lunch date at Lake Union began our lifetime journey together
Those beautiful blue eyes and smile sent me over the moon
Our first kiss at Lake Washington moved my heart like never before.
Fly fishing was only a dream until you showed me the way
Floating on Lake Washington, holding you lovingly in my arms
Our first sailing adventure on Lake Washington lifted up our souls together forever
The wind at our backs pushed us on to love as one
I did not know empathy until I learned it from you
Skiing down Black Diamond runs together
Gave me a partner I never imagined until then
Hiking at Lake Dorothy felt like a dream come true…
Together we shared an adventure that touched me deeply
I did not know compassion until I knew you.
Driving across the Trans-Canada Highway showed me the meaning of true friendship as never before
Cowgirls and Cowboys at the Calgary Stampede filled our hearts with joy
Fishing in Puget Sound with you alone made me feel whole
We became friends forever, friends forever in love
I did not know my true self until you revealed it to me.
Our unforgettable honeymoon sailing and hiking on St. John’s
Is forever etched deep in my heart
Sailing from Sausalito made us sailors together, sailors forever in love
Our free spirited picnic in the jungles of Guadalupe freed our souls
I left all my fears behind me when you gave me your love
Stehekin on my birthday in ‘89 was an unforgettable surprise
Little Sarah was just 3 years old, a bundle of love
She was always with us then, never to be left alone
Rafting down the Icicle River, just the two us, we never tired of our joy
Bringing our baby girl home from the hospital brought us even more joy and love
Mud baths in Calistoga brought us ever closer.
Our amazing horse pack trip along the Wind River
Showed me that our love was eternal
Anniversaries in Hawaii revealed our ever lasting love
On New Year’s Eve at the Embarcadero
I felt closeness and joy like never before
Surviving the ‘89 earthquake near the Golden Gate Bridge
Made us closer too
Hiking Zion and Bryce showed us God was really true
Native American culture let our spirits soar
Skiing Whistler Mountain on the coldest day was true adventure
Backpacking the Skyline Trail at Jasper so very high above
RV adventures to so many wonderful places
Discovering Sedona and the Vortex of God’s love
was true as blue
Chillin’ on powdered sugar sand beaches in Florida took me to your home
Where making love was more beautiful than ever before
Living the good life on the Oregon Coast filled our lives with beauty and grace
Healing from the inside was never possible until I knew your love
Being scuba buddies gave us new adventures in romance
Hot tubbing in our backyard in Laguna
I will keep our secret forever my love
Sailing to Catalina showed me your daring strength and courage
You saved us from stormy seas as God’s love showed us the way
You taught me to write from my heart
When you showed me the courage to do so
Two lovely weeks in Zihuatenejo was as romantic and loving as anything could be.
Treasured times visiting Riveria Nayarit, Bucerias and Sayulita, live in our hearts too.
Sadie, Mocha and Skai look down on us from the Rainbow Bridge ……..
The furry ones will always be in our hearts
I did not know who I was until you revealed it to me
I did not know how to live in the moment until you showed me how
I live with love now because you helped me find my truest self
You saved me from drowning in stormy seas with courage and love
And in sickness and in health you have shown me kindness and love
With God’s love we have survived together
In the deepest places of our hearts and souls
Happy 70th Birthday, Judy, my dearest and forever love!
