“According to a December 2011 survey, 67,495 veterans are homeless on any given night and twice as many experience homelessness during a year. Right now, the number of homeless Vietnam-era veterans is greater than the number of service persons who died during that war. Already, veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan are appearing among the homeless population.”
Also supported by VOA, The National Press Club with David Gregory, Moderator of NBC’s Meet the Press, is hosting a panel discussion on May 8, 2012, entitled “After the Uniform.” Please go to the above site and register.
My primary goal with this blog and work on behalf of veterans and others suffering from the symptoms of PTSD is to consistently seek out viable support resources. The resources and opportunities to engage offer hope and help to veterans and loved ones who are challenged making adjustments following deployments. My blog includes many other website resources to choose from and explore based on your specific needs.
