My Dad, Vernon, was a Pearl Harbor survivor serving on the USS West Virginia on that terrible day December 7, 1941.  My emotions took over when viewing this video as it reminded me of Dad and all Pearl Harbor and WWII survivors who paid a huge price for our freedoms.  What really came to mind is the healing for families that this memorial represents.  It was no doubt special for the USS Arizona survivors themselves to possibly look forward to being with their shipmates again.  This in itself is healing for those who suffer with guilt as survivors of a traumatic event.  This day on December 7, 1941 was no exception.
